'Zine

I'd never heard of a 'zine before Mr. Coleman, my language arts teacher introduced it to me. A 'zine is a non commercial "magazine" that is usually used for local purposes.
Local purposes, hmm.
Caleb and I (Caleb is a guy at my school) wanted to work together to design a 'zine, but about what? We sorted through about 112 ideas before the word "local" caught our eye.
Local foods.
Hmm, how could we turn this into a 'zine? Well, Mr. Coleman helped us out with that. He told us about multiple authors such as Barbara Kingsolver. She lived on completely locally grown foods for 1 whole year. I wonder how she survived the winter, hahaha. Anyways, this caught our attention.
What if I ate locally grown foods for one meal everyday for a week? Thats certainly no year, but for a teenager, thats a long time.
Yes, this is how we found our topic.
Perfect.
Everyday I'll blog about my interesting experiences about eating local foods. Hard? Or easy? That's what I'll find out. I'll eat local foods while Caleb does the research.
Hopefully this is A+ material.
Anyways, check this blog for updates on our interesting challenge!
